Shah Rukh a true sportsman at heart. He has always promoted sports through his films. One of his much-appreciated films ‘Chak De! India’ in fact, had encouraged participation of women in hockey. The superstar however, is unhappy about the growth of National women hockey team in India. “We tried to do our bit for women hockey in India and our endeavors bore super success. But, in reality unfortunately, nothing has changed as such. It has unable to make a huge difference,” says Shah Rukh. SRK has always been active in showcasing his sportsmanship through his films be it basketball in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, football in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayege’, played hockey coach in ‘Chak De! India’. In fact, he owns a team named Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premiere League and lately, has become the face of University Cricket Championship.
